A sad, often funny, and desperate family discover a different and unexpected hope.

 

Dates: Monday June 9, 6:30-10:00 pm 

          Tuesday June 10, 6:30-10:00 pm

 

Performance dates: July 24 - August 3, 2014

 

Format: Cold readings

 

Available Roles:

Bill: 50+ Male, , doctor ,good friend of Jeremy and Melody Harding, wisdom that he regrets not applying in his own life.

Eric: 20+ Male, only son of Hardings, , depressed ,repressed, secretive, losing hope ,almost suicidal, very bright, disappointed in lost potential.

David: 35+ Male, son in law to Hardings, .very impatient, argumentative, has trouble adjusting to life outside of his law practice, loves his wife and is possessive of her.

Isabella: 35+ Female, very sweet oldest child of Hardings, a peacemaker at heart, concerned over family issues and balancing her husband’s needs with overwhelming parental and sibling issues.

Children of Isabella and David, aka Harding Grandchildren: Male, Female 
5+ as many as 5 children no older than age 15. Scripted and improvisational lines.

Roberto: 40+, Male, Hispanic, exudes integrity, loyal person especially to Hardings, family man, strong in body mind and spirit.

Gloria: 40+ Female, a very liberal minded pastor, does not listen well, but loves to talk, wants to be positive and helpful.

Jonathan: 30+, Male, physically blind, born to preach, passion for reaching people with bible Truth, not afraid to offend if offense is necessary.

Gerald: 35+, Male, artistic to a fault. Very serious and confident in what he has to say. Wants to get his way.

Dr Smith: 35+ Male or Female, very professional almost "slick." Sure his- her way is the only way.

Governor Martinez: Male or female, 50 + proud, hopeful, energetic, polite, kindly, smart politically.

Roberto's 5 children: Male & Female, Hispanic, ages 5 to age 15

Maria: 35+, Hispanic, Roberto's wife, very happy to be married to Roberto and to have residence on Harding Estate. Scripted and improvisational lines.

Young Dancing Couple: 20+ Male & Female - to play Jeremy and Melody Harding as a young couple, dance to old time music aka Louis Armstrong, What A Wonderful World.

Mission Receptionist: Female: 40+, very private, secretly angry, spirit of entitlement, lacks compassion.

Mission Resident 1: 20 + Male or Female, forlorn, emotionally tired with great stress, takes self very seriously.

Mission Resident 2: 20+ Male or Female, same as Mission Resident 1

Mission Resident 3: 20+ Male or Female, very desperate. At "end of rope" emotionally, very afraid, very combative, self righteous.

10+Mission Residents: Male & Female, shabby clothes, unruly, having fun, making fun of preacher, demanding food. Scripted and improvisational lines.
